Apple Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cinnamon
    3 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vegetable oil
    4 eggs
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Grease 10-inch tube pan.
    Combine apples, cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
    In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly; batter will be heavy.
    Spoon half of batter in pan and top with half of apples.
    Repeat with remaining batter and apples. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes, until top of cake is brown and firm to touch.
    Remove from pan.
