Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    4 c. raw peanuts with skins
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
Preparation
    You will need a candy thermometer.
    Boil sugar, water and syrup until it threads.
    Add butter and nuts.
    Cook slowly to 300\u00b0, stirring constantly.
    Add soda and vanilla.
    Pour onto well buttered pan.
    When cold, break into pieces.
