Truffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 sq. (1 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate, cut up
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, cut up
    1/4 c. whipping cream
    1 Tbsp. shortening (not margarine or butter)
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat 6 squares semi-sweet chocolate in heavy 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in butter, then whipping cream.
    Refrigerate, stirring frequently, just until thick enough to hold a figure, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto foil-lined cookie sheet. Shape into 1 1/4-inch balls.
    Freeze 30 minutes.
