Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Have egg whites at room temperature for best volume in beating.
Be sure egg whites are free from particles of egg yolk and beaters and bowl are not greasy.
Yolk and grease prevent egg whites from beating up.
Add cream of tartar and vanilla to egg whites and beat until soft peaks form.
Add sugar in 1 tablespoon portions, beating constantly.
With last addition of sugar, beat meringue until stiff peaks form.
