Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour, sifted before measuring
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks one at a time.
    Add soda and salt to flour and sift 2 more times.
    Then add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to the butter and sugar mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
    Bake in a greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
    When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
    Makes 12 to 15 servings.
