Rhubarb Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced rhubarb
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Put rhubarb in bottom of 8 x 9-inch pan.
Cream 3/4 cup sugar with butter.
Add flour, milk, baking powder and salt.
Pour this mixture over rhubarb.
Mix 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and cinnamon.
Sprinkle this over mixture in pan.
Pour 1 cup boiling water over all.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
