Sour Cream Sugared Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. toasted walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    To toast nuts: Sprinkle nuts into ungreased skillet, stirring. Cook on medium heat 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
    Mix sour cream and brown sugar in saucepan.
    Heat to 223\u00b0 with candy thermometer, stirring constantly.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Stir rapidly until mixture has coated the nuts.
    Spread on wax paper and separate nuts.
    Cool and store in airtight container.
    Lasts 3 to 4 months.
