Canned Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can green beans
    3 inch sq. salt pork or piece of ham
    1 can water
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Open can of cut green beans.
    Place in boiler pot (3-quart size).
    Add about 3 inch square salt pork or piece of ham.
    Add about a can of water.
    Cook about 1 hour.
    When ready to serve, add about 1/2 cup milk and let come to boil, then remove immediately, otherwise the milk will curdle.
    Serve with corn bread.
    If no meat, then add about 2 tablespoons butter.
