Cheese And Sausage Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork sausage
    1 c. uncooked grits
    4 c. lightly salted water
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. butter
    2 large eggs, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 small clove garlic, minced
Preparation
    Brown sausage; drain.
    Cook grits in salted water for 5 minutes.
    When grits are the consistency of oatmeal, stir in cheese.
    Remove from heat.
    Cover and let stand for a few minutes. Stir in butter, eggs, milk and garlic until well blended.
    Stir in sausage.
    Pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole and bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Wonderful for breakfast, lunch or supper!
