Stewed Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. okra, cut into bite size pieces
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Melt butter in a 2-quart pot.
    Add onion and stir 5 minutes or until onion is clear.
    Stir in tomatoes and garlic; simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add okra, salt, pepper and chili powder.
    Stir until well blended.
    Cook on low heat for 25 to 30 minutes or until okra is tender.
