Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1 finely sliced onion
    3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. white wine
Preparation
    Brown chicken in oil.
    Pour almost all of the oil off.
    Add onion.
    When soft, add tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
    If not thickened, add a little cornstarch. Add wine the last 15 minutes.
