Aunt Cora'S Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. Wesson oil or any melted shortening
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Mix oil, eggs and sugar, then add flour, salt and baking powder.
Next add vanilla, apples and nuts (hickory nuts or walnuts are best but any kind of nut can be used).
This is a thick dough.
Bake in a long pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
