German Chocolate Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 qt. milk
    2 bars (4 oz. each) sweet cooking chocolate, melted
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. shredded coconut
    1 qt. light cream or half and half
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in a heavy 3-quart saucepan. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cook 2 more minutes. Remove from heat. Blend in melted chocolate. Blend in small amount of hot mixture into eggs. Return mixture to pan. Cook 1 minute. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat. Add coconut. Blend in cream. Chill 1 to 2 hours. Stir in nuts before freezing.
