Barbecued Beef And Pork Burgers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. pickling spice
2 lb. cubed beef
2 lb. cubed pork
2 medium onions, chopped
1 1/2 c. water
1 (24 oz.) bottle ketchup
1/4 c. vinegar
12 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Preparation

Tie pickling spice in a cheesecloth bag.
Place beef, pork, onions, water and pickling spice in a heavy Dutch oven.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 6 hours or until very tender.
Drain liquid.
Vigorously stir meat with a meat fork until shredded.
Stir in ketchup and vinegar; simmer an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Yields 12 servings.
