Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. flour
3 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation

Mix sugar, cocoa, flour and salt until smooth.
Add 1/2 cup of milk to well beaten egg yolks, then blend into dry ingredients. Stir until all lumps are dissolved.
Add remaining milk and mix. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then cook over low heat until desired thickness.
Add vanilla and butter.
Stir and set aside until crust is ready.
Pour into slightly baked crust.
Top with meringue and brown in 400\u00b0 oven.
You can double the recipe and make 2 pies.
