Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg or 1/4 c. egg substitute
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Cream some butter or margarine with either powdered garlic or liquid garlic juice.
Slice some French-style bread into thick slices and butter generously with garlic spread.
Sprinkle the buttered side of the bread slices generously with grated Parmesan cheese and then sprinkle on a little sweet paprika for color. Slip under a broiler for a minute or two, watching carefully, until the cheese has started to melt and bubble.
Serve at once.
