Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sifted all-purpose flour (3 to 3 1/2 c.)
    1 lb. soft butter
    1 lb. sharp grated cheese (at room temperature)
    1 1/4 tsp. red pepper (ground)
Preparation
    Sift together the flour and red pepper.
    Mix cheese and butter together.
    Add flour mixture to cheese mixture, stirring until smooth.
    Put into a cookie press, making 2-inch pieces.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 9 minutes.
