Hickory Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
7 egg whites, beaten
2 c. finely grated hickory nuts
Preparation

Sift flour with baking powder.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add milk and flour alternately to mixture.
Add vanilla and fold in egg whites and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
Frost cake with white icing and decorate with halves or hickory nuts.
