Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) jar spiced apple rings
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Peel apple rings; mash with a fork.
Add brown sugar, the cinnamon (1/4 teaspoon), nutmeg and ginger.
Set aside.
In a large mixer bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Thoroughly stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk.
Stir in walnuts.
Spread one-third of the batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Drop one-third of the apple mixture by tablespoons onto batter.
Repeat layers to make 3 layers of each, ending with apple mixture.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
Cool on rack.
Makes 1 loaf.
