Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion
    1 green pepper
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 c. water
    1 large (20 to 24 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground beef; drain.
    Add onion and green pepper.
    Cook with beef until tender.
    Add stewed tomatoes, rice, water and seasonings.
    Stir frequently until a thick consistency.
    Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella cheese on top of mixture until melted.
    Serve with warm French bread.
