Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 c. cake flour, or enough to make a stiff batter
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add milk and water alternately with flour mixture.
    Mix and treat as a cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 35 or 40 minutes.
