Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 (1 lb.) can chocolate syrup
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with syrup, blending well.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Bake in sheet pan 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0. Let cool and top with icing.
