Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 to 1 1/2 c. peanuts
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In a 2-quart casserole, mix sugar, syrup and salt.
    Microwave for 5 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts; microwave 2 minutes.
    Stir; microwave 2 minutes.
    Stir; microwave 2 minutes.
    Stir (stop when peanuts are lightly browned).
    Stir in butter, vanilla and soda until light and foamy.
    Spread onto a well buttered cookie sheet. Cool; break into pieces.
