Luncheon Pan Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1 c. scalded milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
4 3/4 c. flour
Preparation
-
Scald milk and butter. Add sugar and salt. Let stand until lukewarm. Add eggs, yeast and 1 1/2 cups flour. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Continue beating, adding flour until dough is stiff enough to handle. Let rise until double in size (takes about 2 hours). Then knead gently for 1 minute. Shape into balls and place in buttered pan, placing them so they touch lightly. Let rolls rise until they are double in size. Then bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until brown, about 20 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
