Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 qt. apples
    5 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    10 c. water
Preparation
    Pack 7 jars half full of apple slices. Combine all other ingredients and bring to a rolling boil. Cover apples in jar with filling. Fill jars within 1-inch from top with apples and cover with filling. Lids should be in boiling water for 20 minutes. Place lids and rings on jars. Boil 20 minutes in a hot water bath.
