Etta'S Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising corn meal
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 stick margarine
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
    Add shortening, eggs and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Pour in greased pan (cast-iron frypan is good).
    Bake at 425\u00b0 about 45 minutes, until brown.
    Remove from oven and rub margarine over top until melted into bread.
