Mom Taylor'S Curry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 onions
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. curry powder
    1 c. hot water or meat stock
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. jam
    1 lb. cooked meat (boiling beef or leftover roast)
Preparation
    Cut onions finely; brown in butter.
    Stir in curry powder and simmer 2 or 3 minutes.
    Add hot water or meat stock and boil for 5 minutes, stirring often.
    Add jam, vinegar and milk and bring to a boil.
    Add meat.
    Cut into small pieces and allow to simmer until required for table (about 1/2 hour).
