Tomato Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ripe tomatoes
    juice of 1 lemon
    4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes.
    Core and cut into slices or small pieces. Combine all ingredients in large, heavy kettle.
    Heat to boiling. Cook; stir frequently until mixture thickens (about an hour). Cool; stir and place in hot, sterilized glasses.
    (Can be frozen, if desired.)
    Good with all meat dishes.
