Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
1 1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Cool Whip
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 strawberry Jell-O (3 oz. pkg.)
Preparation

Bring to boil in saucepan 1 1/4 cups water, sugar, corn syrup and salt.
Mix cornstarch with remaining 1/4 cup water and stir into boiling mixture.
Simmer until clear.
Add strawberry Jell-O. Stir well and remove from heat.
Chill until glaze begins to thicken.
Wash, hull and drain strawberries on paper toweling. Spoon little glaze on pie shell.
Arrange layer of berries, cut side down, and cover with glaze.
Repeat layers and glaze.
Serve chilled with Cool Whip.
