Milk Shake Mixture - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cold milk
    2 1/2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 eggs (optional)
Preparation
    Soak 3 packages
    gelatin
    in 1 1/2 cups cold water.
    Heat 8 cups milk hot enough to
    dissolve the gelatin.
    Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and
    2
    teaspoons
    vanilla; cool, then add 2 cups whipped cream.
    (If using
    Dream
    Whip,
    use
    water and not milk.) Set in cool place until thick.
    Freeze.
