Mock Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. quick oatmeal
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Cream the butter to soften.
    Add sugar and cream until fluffy. Add syrup and salt.
    Beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each egg.
    Stir in coconut and oatmeal.
    Pour into pie shell and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until it tests clean with a knife.
    Cool and serve.
