Mrs. Homer Lyon'S White Cake With Chocolate Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 tsp. flavoring
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Separate eggs; add the beaten egg yolks.
Add milk and the flour alternately, having sifted the baking powder with the flour.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and flavoring.
Bake in layers in a moderate oven (350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0).
Cool and ice with Chocolate
Filling.
