Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 green sweet pepper
    1 onion
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. salad oil
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Chop or coarse grate cabbage, pepper and onion.
    Add sugar. Mix together 1 tablespoon sugar, oil, vinegar, mustard, celery seed and salt; bring to a full boil.
    Pour hot mixture over cabbage mixture; toss together.
    Seal in airtight containers.
    Do not stir or uncover for at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Keeps well in refrigerator for a week or more.
