Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Large pot of cooked sliced beets
    2/3 c. white vinegar
    1/3 c. white sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour or 1 tsp. corn starch
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cut off greens. Do not cut too close to beet. It will bleed. Wash beets. Do not cut up. Cook till tender in boiling water, about 30 minutes. Cool. Peel and slice. Put in clean pot. Add about 1-2 cups water. Simmer on low heat to make red liquid.
