2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Bake for 30 minutes in round 8-inch pans. It takes longer for larger pans.
A very moist cake.
