Mincemeat(Canned) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. cooked meat (pork or beef), ground up
    1 gal. apples, ground
    2 boxes raisins
    2 lb. sugar or 4 c.
    1 box mixed spices or cinnamon or more
    1 qt. (or less) mild vinegar
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Mix ingredients and cook slow in large dish pan or slow cooker until raisins are puffed and seem dry.
    Stir often to keep from sticking.
    Can hot in hot, dry jars.
    Seal at once.
    Makes 6 quarts.
    Other fruits can be added.
