Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 pkg. lemon pudding
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. grated or flaked coconut
1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
Preparation

Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in flour.
Press evenly in 8-inch or 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Meanwhile, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored and gradually beat in sugar. Add pudding and baking powder, then dates and coconut.
Spread on hot crust.
Return to oven.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until puffed and browned.
Cool and cut into bars.
Makes about 18 bars.
