Country Apple Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 c. chopped nuts
    confectioners sugar
    1 1/2 c. oil
    2 c. shredded, peeled apple
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. dried pitted prunes, chopped (about 2 c.)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil and eggs for 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Blend in apples.
    Combine dry ingredients and gradually beat into egg mixture.
    Stir in prunes and nuts.
    Spoon into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
    Invert onto wire rack to cool.
    Just before serving, dust cake with confectioners sugar.
