Pear Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. pears
    10 c. sugar
    lemon wedges
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Prepare pears by peeling, coring and slicing.
    Place in a pot and add sugar.
    Let sit overnight.
    Cook on medium heat until they begin to boil, then put on low heat. Add lemon wedges, 1 to 3 lemons depending on what you prefer. Add pinch of salt.
    Cook slowly, stirring often, to prevent from scorching.
    Pack in sterilized jars and seal.
