Brunch Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. day-old firm white or French bread
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
8 eggs, lightly beaten
4 c. milk
1 tsp. dry mustard
dash of pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. instant minced onion
8 to 10 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (I use one pound)
1 green pepper, sauteed in butter to soften
1/4 c. margarine or butter
Preparation

Generously butter 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Cut or break bread into cubes.
Spread bread in bottom of dish.
Cover bread with shredded cheese.
Beat together eggs, milk, mustard, salt, onion, etc.
(add crumbled bacon).
Pour mixture over bread and cheese. Cover and chill at least 12 hours, not more than 24 hours.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 10 minutes.
Bake in oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Serve hot or cool for about 40 minutes and serve.
