Butter Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecans, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. margarine or butter, softened
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
    6 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 to 1 c. evaporated milk or cream
Preparation
    For frosting, beat margarine or butter until fluffy.
    Add powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk or cream to make frosting of good spreading consistency.
    Stir in the reserved toasted pecans.
