Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
shredded cheese
1 can asparagus tips
1 pkg. sliced or slivered almonds
2 hard-boiled eggs
cracker crumbs
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and stir until paste forms without lumps. Add milk to paste and stir constantly until thickened. Add cheese to satisfy your own taste and stir until melted. Remove from heat. Drain asparagus. In a casserole dish, layer half of the asparagus and nuts, 1 sliced egg and half the sauce. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients. Top with cracker crumbs and bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes, until bubbly and crumbs are golden brown.
