Tart 'N' Saucy Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
6 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 c. (15 oz.) applesauce
3 to 4 tart apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
3 Tbsp. margarine
double crust

Preparation

Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour.
Add lemon peel, lemon juice and applesauce and mix well. Add sliced apples.
Pour into bottom crust.
Dot with margarine.
