Spiced Pickled Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
    1 Tbsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    2 whole dried red peppers
    water (enough to cover eggs)
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    3 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In saucepan, bring eggs to a boil.
    Remove from heat and close tightly.
    Let stand 20 minutes. Drain and run cold water over eggs until chilled.
    Peel.
    Combine allspice, ginger, cloves, red peppers and garlic in cheesecloth.
    Tie loosely.
    Combine vinegar, water, salt and sugar in a saucepan.
    Put in spice bag.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn down heat and simmer 10 minutes.
    Discard spice bag. Pour over eggs.
    Refrigerate.
    Ready to eat in 2 days.
