Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 c. flour
    3 c. chopped apples
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar, shortening, vanilla, eggs, lemon juice and salt.
    Beat well.
    Mix flour and soda in.
    Blend apples and pecans in.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
