Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Add oats to water.
    Cover and let stand.
    Mix shortening, white and brown sugars and eggs.
    In a separate bowl, mix soda, salt, flour and cinnamon. Add this to sugar and shortening mixture. Add in oats.
    Oats should be somewhat cool.
    Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
