Ingredients

3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted cake flour
1 c. sugar
7 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preparation

In large bowl, beat all ingredients together at low speed. Add walnuts.
Pour in an 8 x 8-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
