Spicy Fried Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 firm or semi-green apples
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1/4 c. crumbled bacon
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Wash, quarter and core apples. Place in a bowl; sprinkle with salt and lemon juice. Let stand 10 minutes.
