Old Fashion Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. milk, mixed with 2 c. water
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. ham, chopped
    2 to 3 peeled potatoes, cut into bite size pieces
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Using
    5
    quart pan, melt butter and stir in cornstarch to thicken.
    Add milk/water mixture and stir until mixed with butter. Add
    all other ingredients, chopped.
    Allow to simmer until potatoes
    are
    cooked
    completely.
    Recipe
    is
    easily doubled and is very good reheated the next day!
    Serves 4.
