Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    12 slices bread, toasted with butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. milk (1 can Pet, add milk to make 3 1/2 c.)
    5 eggs
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Toast bread.
    Place in casserole dish 9 x 13-inch (6 slices will fit on one layer.)
    Add another layer of toast.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over bread.
    Dish should stand for a few minutes to soak.
    Set a saucer on top to hold down bread. Put remaining pats of butter on top.
    Soak for 3 to 4 hours or refrigerate overnight.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 20 to 25 minutes or until bread puffs up and is golden brown.
